CO. 30 UNITS FIRST DUE TO FIERY COLLISION IN LANDOVER

Wednesday, July 3, 2013  Just before midnight, units were alerted to the 8400 BLK of Ardwick Ardmore Road for the report of a tractor trailer fire with possibly people trapped.  A supplement advised this was probably secondary to a collision reported in the area as well.  Co. 30 units AOS to find a passenger car underneath a tractor trailer with both fully involved. C830A had the command.  Due to the amount of fire and fuel spill, additional suppression units were called to the scene including HAZMAT companies from 12 & 16.  A total of three patients were evaluated and transported, two by ground and one by air, to various trauma centers.  Units remained on the scene for about two hours before returning to service.
